WAIC Leadership Update
It is with a heavy heart that Jay and I are reaching out to say that our inspiring WAIC Co-Chair, Aaron Woods, is stepping away to focus on the awesome opportunity to be our next State Senator! Aaron’s contribution to Wilsonville runs decades-long and is well described in this news article. He let us know he will still stay as a supporter and as a part of the WAIC team.
Jay and I connected last week and we want to get WAIC meetings up and running again. We propose to begin meeting on a bi-monthly basis. Also, Clackamas County Community College has stepped up to offer us meeting space. Hooray!
One of our main goals for 2022 will be to fill and confirm WAIC positions (Co-Chair, Secretary, and Inclusion Process Officer) so that we can have a five-person board.
Please reach out to us (connect@wilsonvillealliance.org) with any questions or offers to help us get WAIC up and running in a successful, inclusive way.
Sincerely,
Garet Prior, Co-Chair & Jay Edwards, Treasurer
Save the date: September 21 at 7 pm
We will be starting up routine meetings, bi-monthly on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. The first hour is time for connection with a diversity, equity, or inclusion practice, followed by a WAIC business meeting.
Location: Clackamas County Community College - Wilsonville Campus - 29353 SW Town Center Loop E, Wilsonville, OR 97070
Please contact us at connect@wilsonvillealliance.org if you are interested in coming. We would love to see you there!
