WAIC Letter on Frog Pond East and South

WAIC Letter on Frog Pond East and South

The entire Frog Pond development, including East and South, is a tremendous opportunity for Wilsonville. New housing meets a critical need but doesn’t have to be at the expense of diversity, equity, and inclusion. As we strive to build inclusive communities, Frog Pond can – and should – be an important step.

Developed by the WAIC Housing Equity Action Team, the letter below identifies five key elements that are essential to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in Frog Pond East and South. This letter was recently sent to the Mayor, City Council, and Planning Commission.

More information on the Frog Pond East and South planning process and how you can get involved is listed below. If you have time, we hope that you let your voice be heard!

What makes a Wilsonville neighborhood diverse, inclusive, and equitable?

The City of Wilsonville is planning a major neighborhood (Frog Pond East and South) on the eastern edge of town. They are at a crucial stage in the master planning process where key elements of the neighborhood like housing types, services, and natural spaces are planned and will guide future development.
