EVENT RECAP: Can We All Get Along?
Thank you to the 35 people who showed up, opened up, and engaged in conversation about how we can bridge our differences! “Can We All Get Along?” was an intentional dialogue event supported by the Wilsonville Alliance for Inclusive Community and Oregon Humanities Conversation Project. Images from the event are below.
To make this event possible, we have the following shout-outs:
Thank you to Clackamas Community College for offering the space and support. We have long been searching for accessible community meetings spaces.
Chisao Hata was a brilliant facilitator! To read about and experience more of her her work, please visit her website.
Christy Thompson and Chelsea King, our stellar school board members, were the driving forces behind coming up with the idea, getting Chisao here, and aiding in all of the pre-event prep. These two are a perfect example of “how we can all get along” in difficult, very public facing settings.
Be sure to sign up for the Oregon Humanities quarterly magazine and get their emails. They are a trove of excellent writing, art, and dialogue.
If you are interested in helping to host more of these conversations, similar to how Chelsea and Christy did this time, please contact us today!
